Past Cullman Events
For the past seven years, the Cullman Child Development Center has proudly hosted its annual Big Rigs and Beyond community event, a beloved “Touch-a-Truck” experience that brings families together for a day of exploration and hands-on fun. Children and adults alike have the unique opportunity to climb aboard a variety of vehicles, from fire trucks and excavators to tractors and ambulances, learning about the incredible work these machines and their operators do for the community. This event not only sparks curiosity and joy but also fosters connections between families and local organizations, all while supporting the center’s mission of nurturing young minds through play and community engagement.

The Empowered Parenting Group is a space where parents and caregivers came together to learn, grow, and thrive as a community. In this group, we recognize that every family is unique, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to parenting. This is why we wanted to create an environment for you to share your experiences and insights to engage in peer-led discussions that can offer you a supportive network and practical tips. If you are intersted in taking part in the group speak to Amy.
The Cullman Center partnered with the Southern Tier Family and Community Engagement Center to offer a five week module developed by The Center for Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning. This module worked with families to promote positive and effective parenting behaviors that promote children’s social and emotional development while addressing the challenging behavior and mental health needs of children.
